Born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Lauren and her family always loved to travel. Once she turned 17 she made it her goal to celebrate each birthday somewhere different. Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, India... Upon traveling to Guatemala, Lauren began to fall in love with alternative ways of being. She completed a 200 hour Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course on the beautiful shores of Lago de Atitlán, Guatemala, where she lived and volunteered at an ashram for several months, deep diving into Asana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Karma Yoga. After returning home she felt inspired to share her gifts with the Lethbridge Community. The support she received through teaching Pop Up Yoga and University Yoga Club classes motivated her again to travel to India in the beginning of 2018 to complete a 200 hour Nada Yoga Teacher Training course where she further deepened her knowledge and passion for Bhakti Yoga. Learning how to play harmonium, chanting mantras in temples, making malas, being with like-minded community, and hanging out with dogs are what makes her heart sing.
